This ceramic sculpture is made of dark stoneware fired to cone 10 in a reduction atmosphere. It is made of an open honeycomb lattice. If used as a planter, fine soil will fall through the openings if it is not held together by roots or mixed with long fiber sphagnum moss. Long fiber sphagnum moss can also be used on its own as a planting medium.
