This ceramic sculpture consists of two connected honeycomb matrix', one made of porcelain and one made of red stoneware. The entire piece was dipped in a wood ash glaze and fired to cone 10 in a reduction atmosphere. It is pictured being used as an orchid planter. It's open structure lends itself to the needs of the orchid's aerial root system.
